Most educational institutions are now getting adjusted to the demands of Smart Grid which can otherwise be called the Internet age of the Electricity Sector. Those institutions which do not have the support of computer appliances find it hard to meet the academic expectations, be it homework or school projects. The opportunities for learning online and through the computer appliances are immense today and they nearly overpower the traditional sources of information and knowledge. But the digital technology for learning Smart Grids has both pros and cons.
Technology has come as a rude surprise as far as the impact of information technology on electrical, communications, and IT students is concerned. The link between the technology immersion and the academic success of students was found to be negative in many researches carried out in the United States. Similar results are also found in India.
