Smart Grid Project in Haryana (India): NEDO appoints Agency for feasibility study

Department of the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO), Japan had expressed interest to execute the smart grid pilot project at Panipat in Haryana through a Japanese Grant funding. In order to evaluate the project they have appointed a consortium of following agencies to undertake a feasibility study:

  1. THE Power Grid Solution Ltd (JV of Tokyo Electric Power Company and Hitachi Ltd)
  2. NTT Communications Ltd
  3. Fuji Electric Company Limited
  4. Price Waterhouse Coopers Company Ltd

The consortium is expected to start the field work in March 2014.
