Crompton Greaves (CG) is India’s largest private sector enterprise. CG is actively taking part in the Smart Grid research and development activities. In 2008, it initiated the development & integration of products like

  • Integrated SCADA solution for SmartGrid environment on in-house developed cromp SCADA platform as per IEC 61850 standard
  • Substation asset management solution that includes INTERNET based on-line condition monitoring devices for transformers and switchgears

  • Smart load break switches / sectionalizers
  • Smart metering solution
  • IT solutions for power distribution

Now, CG has acquired Spain’s ZIV Group for an enterprise valuation of  Rs 1,015 crore to expand the company’s wide portfolio for power system automation and protection. This will also create a strong platform for the firm in the smart grid arena
